Letter to Minister for Education Hildegarde Naughton
On January 22, coursework briefs for the Additional Assessment Components (AACs) for the eight subjects in Tranche 1 of the reformed Leaving Certificate were released. These AACs are worth 40% of the final Leaving Certificate grade and can be viewed here.
A submission pathway for home educated students and out-of-school learners who have no access to project authentication by a teacher and a school principal has yet to be provided by the Department of Education.
We wrote to the Minister of Education, Hildegarde Naughton TD, this week and also to the education spokespeople in Dáil Éireann, raising this very important issue. Some progress has already been made, and we will provide updates on this soon.
